The competition provides small grants to teams of past and current participants of U.S. government-funded exchange programs to carry out public service projects that utilize skills and knowledge they have gained through their exchange experiences.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Competition for the 2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bfsa.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=fd3d020713c71de80ea6db8be&amp;id=2ae978ac0c&amp;e=29ad8a44c4\" target=\"_blank\">Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund<\/a>\u00a0(AEIF) is now open!<br \/>\n<b>How to enter:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Alumni must be members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/bfsa.us2.list-manage2.com\/track\/click?u=fd3d020713c71de80ea6db8be&amp;id=c20a3f20d4&amp;e=29ad8a44c4\" target=\"_blank\"><i>International Exchange Alumni<\/i><\/a> website and must form teams of at least ten to propose projects that address one of ten project categories:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Empowering Women<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Outreach to Underserved Communities<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Expanded Access to Education<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Environmental Protection<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Government Transparency<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Freedom of Expression<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Conflict Resolution<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Citizen Security<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Promoting Civil Society<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<b>\u00a0Timeline:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Alumni have from April 24 to May 12, 2013 to post their project idea and build a team of at least 10 exchange program alumni.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Projects selected for the finalist phase will be announced on <i>International Exchange Alumni<\/i> on May 27, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 From May 27 to June 16, 2013, finalist teams will refine their proposals and International Exchange Alumni members may vote on their favorite projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A Department of State voting panel will review all finalist proposals and announce the winning projects in July.<\/p>\n<p><i><b>Want to submit a project but need team-members?
